The Cowboys claimed an important win over a division rival Sunday night, but not even a victory over the Eagles can stop Jerry Jones from fielding questions about the future of the franchise.
Reports last week indicated Jones was interested in hiring Oklahoma head coach Lincoln Riley to lead the team if Jason Garrett is shown the door after the season. But on Tuesday, Jones said on 105.3 The Fan that any talk of Riley joining Dallas is “total speculation.”

"That was totally drawn out of the air,” Jones said. "I think that Coach Riley is outstanding. What he’s doing is real impressive. It doesn't surprise me because of proximity or because of his success, that when you start the conversation of the Cowboys changing coaches that a coach of his stature would come into the picture, but total speculation.”
Riley currently is in his second season as Oklahoma's head coach and pushed the Sooners to a Rose Bowl appearance last year. At the moment, the sixth-ranked Sooners have a 9-1 record.
