Eagles star Jalen Hurts was forced to leave Sunday's game against the Giants briefly after appearing to sustain an injury to his throwing hand.
The incident occurred early in the second quarter.
When Hurts dropped back to pass, his throwing hand collided with linebacker Bobby Okereke.

What happened to Jalen Hurts?
Hurts immediately noticed something was wrong, motioning to the middle finger in his throwing hand. He soon returned to the sideline where he showed off his limp digit, which looked out of its natural position.

Hurts eventually went to the medical tent. After trainers tended to his wounds, he was seen attempting throws on the sideline, first with medical tape strapped across his right middle finger, then while wearing a glove on his right hand. He returned to the game shortly thereafter, without the glove, but was not effective.
Shortly before halftime, with the Eagles trailing 24-0, coach Nick Sirianni sent backup Marcus Mariota in to replace Hurts ... and watched the veteran immediately throw an interception.

Philadelphia was already without starters D'Andre Swift, DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown, who looked to have suffered a significant knee injury earlier in Sunday's game.
Hurts had his say about his ailment after the final whistle, telling reporters that he's hoping he'll be free of any discomfort come Philadelphia's wild-card clash with the Buccaneers.

Sirianni's bunch will be hoping that its Pro Bowl-caliber thrower isn't too affected by a janky finger, either. With the Eagles not slated to take the field until Monday, you'd have to imagine that Hurts would be given every opportunity to get himself back to fitness before Philly's duel with Tampa Bay.
