Ravens injury update: Gus Edwards, Marcus Peters reportedly join J.K. Dobbins with torn ACLs image

The blows keep on coming for the Ravens' backfield.

After losing starting running back J.K. Dobbins to a torn ACL on Aug. 28 in the preseason finale and third-stringer Justice Hill just days later, Balitmore is seemingly down yet another running back after Thursday's practice, with Gus Edwards also reportedly suffering a torn ACL.

Edwards wasn't the only player to reportedly have a major injury on Thursday, as Baltimore also appears to have lost a key member of its secondary.

Edwards played in all 16 games each of the past two seasons and has averaged well more than 700 rushing yards per year out of the backfield for Baltimore after joining the team as an undrafted free agent in 2018.

Peters, meanwhile, came to Baltimore via trade in 2019 and the three-time Pro-Bowler and two-time All-Pro selection played and started in 14 games for the Ravens last year, his first full season with the team.

The Ravens signed former intra-division foe and two-time All-Pro Le'Veon Bell to their practice squad earlier in the week and may now use a tandem of Bell and former undrafted free agent Ty'Son Williams out of the backfield while they look to address the secondary as well.
