The NFL's biggest event of each year is the Super Bowl, and it does not let any run-of-the-mill stadium hold it.
Stadiums must meet a very specific set of criteria, including that they're able to seat no fewer than 70,000 people, have either a roof or gameday temperature of more than 50 degrees, and have space for pregame entertainment.
There must be enough hotels surrounding the hosting area to seat roughly 35 percent of the stadium capacity.
Super Bowl 57 was hosted in Glendale, Ariz., at State Farm Stadium, with the next one set to take place in Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium. Where will the next several Super Bowls be hosted? Here's a look.

Super Bowl 2024: Las Vegas
One of the newest and most unique venues the NFL has to offer is Allegiant Stadium. It's the second-youngest stadium in the NFL and has housed the Raiders for four years.
It opened its doors in July of 2020 ahead of the Raiders' first season since the move to Las Vegas, though fans did not fill it until the following year due to concerns surrounding COVID-19.
The dome, which features a grass field, has a capacity of 71,835 fans.
Allegiant Stadium has hosted several events, including the 2021 PAC-12 Championship, the Las Vegas Bowl, the 2022 Pro Bowl, and the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup Final.
Super Bowl 2025: New Orleans
Few stadiums have seen as many prestigious events as the Caesars Superdome, formerly known as the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Super Bowl 59 will mark the first that has been hosted under the name of Caesars Superdome.
The domed venue can hold a maximum of 76,468 people for football games and has a turf field.
In addition to seven Super Bowls (1978, '81, '86, '90, '97, 2002, '13), other notable events hosted here include the Sugar Bowl, the New Orleans Bowl, and the BCS National Championship four times. Every three years, it hosts College Football Playoff semifinal contests when the Sugar Bowl is among those.
Many baseball games, Men's Final Fours, U.S. Women's National Team soccer matches, and major boxing matchups have also taken place there.
Super Bowl 2026: Santa Clara
This will be the third time for the big game in the Bay Area. Levi’s Stadium, which originally opened in Santa Clara in 2014, played host to Super Bowl 50 when the Broncos bested the Panthers.
San Francisco also reigned victorious in the long ago Super Bowl 19 at Stanford Stadium in Palo Alto when the 49ers beat the Dolphins following the 1984 season.
The $1.2 billion venue seats approximately 68,500 people at 1.85 million square feet. It also has 165 luxury suites and 8,500 club seats. Levi's Stadium has hosted more than 100 major events, including the Redbox Bowl, the Pac-12 Championship, and the College Football Playoff.
Super Bowl 2027: Inglewood
SoFi Stadium hosted Super Bowl 56 and will run it back once again in 2027.
It's a covered, open-air stadium that seats 70,240 people and has hosted a range of different events. SoFi is the former spot of the Hollywood Park Racetrack. It's just one part of Hollywood Park, which is a neighborhood being developed on the site of the old racetrack.
Other events that have taken place in SoFi Stadium include the Monster Jam World Finals. The fixed-roof stadium with artificial turf was opened in September of 2020 and is the home of both the Rams and the Chargers, both teams that moved from their previous locations in recent history.
