Fantasy QB Rankings Week 15: Who to start, sit at quarterback in fantasy football image

It’s finally fantasy playoff time, and hopefully, you’re reading this after successfully locking up a spot in your league’s postseason. If that’s the case, finding a reliable quarterback to get you into the next round of the playoffs is a must, and our Week 15 fantasy QB rankings are here to help you do just that.

Let’s rejoice in that fact bye weeks are no longer, and all 32 starting quarterbacks return to our weekly rankings. If you have Josh Allen, Jalen Hurts, or Patrick Mahomes, you’re clearly not stressing out, but for others who need a QB with the potential to outperform his projection, we’ve got you covered. Outside of the top-five QBs, several lowered-tiered QB1s and high-end QB2s have tough matchups, and many waiver-wire QBs are in favorable situations. This will surely cause start 'em, sit 'em drama in deep leagues.

For instance, owners of Geno Smith (vs. 49ers in Week 15) likely got themselves into the playoffs, but can you trust him against one of the most complete defenses in the league? Smith’s lowest fantasy point outing came in Seattle’s Week 2 loss in San Francisco when he failed to reach 200 passing yards without a TD pass. It’s part of the gamble, but Smith owners could pivot and start Mike White (vs. Lions), Andy Dalton (vs. Falcons), or Mac Jones (@ Raiders), three QBs we highlighted in last week’s waiver wire watchlist. That's a gamble in its own right for obvious reasons.

WEEK 15 STANDARD RANKINGS:
RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers

White (ribs) has had success as a passer in his first three starts and could continue his success against a Lions’ defense that entered Week 14 allowing the most FPPG to QBs (23.9). (Update: White has been ruled out for Week 15. Zach Wilson has a similar ceiling but a lower floor.) Dalton and Jones aren’t flashy plays by any means, but in deeper leagues, they could post respectable enough showings to keep your lineup competitive in plus matchups. The same goes for Matt Ryan (@ Vikings) and Sam Darnold (vs. Steelers). Neither usually inspires much confidence, but both are facing defenses that entered Week 14 in the top nine in FPPG allowed to QBs.

WEEK 15 PPR RANKINGS:
RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers

Smith isn't the only bubble QB who might be sat this week. Kirk Cousins (vs. Colts), Derek Carr (vs. Patriots), Jared Goff (@ Jets), Trevor Lawrence (vs. Cowboys), Deshaun Watson (vs. Ravens), and Tom Brady (vs. Bengals) are also in tough spots. It's tough for us to recommend starting guys like Darnold and Jones ahead of most of these signal-callers, as they usually have solid floors, but it might be the difference between your season ending and getting one more week. At the very least, fellow bubble QBs Aaron Rodgers (vs. Rams) and Daniel Jones (@ Commanders) are in better situations.

WEEK 15 DFS LINEUPS: DraftKings | FanDuel

There’s an outside chance we see Lamar Jackson (knee), Kenny Pickett (concussion), and Russell Wilson (concussion) return to game action, but if Tyler Huntley or Anthony Brown (@ Browns), Mitchell Trubisky (@ Panthers), or Brett Rypien (vs. Cardinals) were to start, none would be worth using in fantasy leagues. Wilson has appeal in a favorable matchup after his bounce-back Week 14, but based on what we've seen from him throughout the entire year, he's still risky.

WEEK 15 DFS: Best values | Best stacks

As much as we like what we saw from Brock Purdy (@ Seahawks) last week, we can't recommend him on the road against a decent defense. The same goes for Desmond Ridder (@ Saints) and Baker Mayfield (@ Packers). All three are worth watching for future matchups, but there are many better options in Week 15.

WEEK 15 FANTASY PICKS: Sleepers | Busts | Start 'em, sit 'em

At this juncture in the season, it’s best to roll with the gut and start the QBs who got you to where you are. Tinkering with your lineup too much can create unnecessary headaches, but if you're a big underdog and you think you'll need to go for big points, then take a shot with one of the aforementioned sleepers in a favorable matchup and hope they hit it big.

Note: We'll be updating these QB rankings as needed throughout the week, so check back for the latest changes.
