Despite a accumulating a 19-12-1 record over the last two seasons, the Seahawks have not made the playoffs since 2015. Defensive concerns and offensive departures leave the team wondering what the future holds.

Here is a player to draft and avoid from the Seahawks in fantasy football this season:

Draft:

Russell Wilson, QB — Though the Seahawks diminish the talent around him every offseason, Wilson still manages to put up solid numbers. Jimmy Graham and Paul Richardson are gone, and so too are the 16 touchdowns they accounted for last season, but Wilson usually makes the players around him better.

Wilson had 3,983 yards passing last season, with 34 touchdowns and just 11 interceptions. He also had 586 yards rushing and three touchdowns on the ground. He should be a solid seventh-round pick this year despite his questionable supporting cast.

Avoid:

Rashaad Penny, RB — On one account, the Seahawks probably took Penny in the first round to play him and fix their 23rd-ranked running game from last season. However, they still have Chris Carson, C.J. Prosise and J.D. McKissic clouding the backfield.

Penny should operate as the the early-down back, but coach Pete Carroll likes Carson, and he could re-emerge as the starter if healthy. Penny looks like a 10th-round pick until the situation becomes more clear.
