Second-year quarterback Jared Goff made immense strides from a horrid rookie season, which has Rams fans buzzing about the future.

Here is a player to draft and avoid from the Rams in fantasy football this season:

Draft:

Todd Gurley, RB — The Rams' fantastic season was led by Gurley, who accounted for almost 2,100 yards from scrimmage. The powerful back also scored 19 touchdowns, making him one of the best fantasy players of the last couple seasons. His pace and strength make him tough to tackle, and Goff's development opened up running lanes.

If Gurley can continue to develop as a receiver, he could be the top points scorer for a non-quarterback this year. While his 19 touchdowns bar is a little high, Gurley can be safely selected with the No. 1 overall pick in all formats.

Avoid:

Rams Defense — This isn't an avoid at all costs situation, but the hold out of Aaron Donald, questionable character additions of Ndamukong Suh, Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib, and tough division makes this unit hard to trust.

With all the high-profile names, someone will reach and take the Rams in the ninth round. Don't make that mistake. Los Angeles should have a steady defense that creates turnovers, but its sack numbers could take a hit, and teams have scored on it. The Rams defense is merely a 13th-round pick.
