Fantasy football 2018 draft or avoid: Packers season relies on Aaron Rodgers' health image

As the 2018 fantasy football draft season approaches, we will showcase a player to draft and a player to avoid from all 32 teams.

The Green Bay Packers suffered a season-changing injury last year when Aaron Rodgers went down in Week 5 with a broken collarbone.

Rodgers, who had led the Packers to a 3-1 start, missed most of the season after the injury, and the Packers missed the playoffs for the first time since 2008.

The offense should rebound in 2018, but Rodgers' health and the talent around him are question marks.

Here is one player to draft and one to avoid on the Packers in fantasy football this season:

Draft:

Davante Adams, WR — Despite spending most of his career as the team's No. 3 receiver, Adams managed 74 receptions for 885 yards and 10 touchdowns last season, and that largely was with Brett Hundley throwing him passes.

Now the true No. 1 receiver on this team and potentially a full season with Rodgers under center, Adams looks like a potential second-round pick in fantasy formats. It's a big leap, but Adams could put up some special numbers this season.

Aaron Rodgers, QB — This is mostly about health, but Rodgers also doesn't appear to be a top-20 fantasy player anymore. Whether its age (34), talent surrounding him or the team's scheme is left to be determined, but buyer beware on Rodgers this season.

Other than Adams and newcomer Jimmy Graham, Rodgers won't have a lot to work with unless the Packers found some diamonds in the rough late in this year's draft.
