As the 2018 fantasy football draft season approaches, we will showcase a player to draft and a player to avoid from all 32 teams.

The Arizona Cardinals are trying to make the playoffs for the first time since 2015, and they may need rookie quarterback Josh Rosen to help them get there.

Sam Bradford is set to start the season, but his injury history suggests it could be a short ride. Rosen was selected in the first round, at the tail end of the run on signal callers, but he may have fallen into the best situation.

Here is a player to draft and avoid on the Cardinals in fantasy football this season:

Draft:

David Johnson, RB — two years removed from a season in which he gained 2,118 yards from scrimmage and 20 touchdowns, Johnson has to prove he's returned from a serious wrist injury. Johnson is an explosive runner and receiver, capable of finishing games with 100 yards in both categories. He also has a nose for the end zone, making him valued in fantasy.

No longer a top-5 pick in fantasy, due to injury concerns and lack of a supporting cast, but Johnson shouldn't fall out of the first round in any format.

Avoid:

Christian Kirk, WR — The rookie pass catcher could have a big career with the Cardinals. He's fast, aggressive and physical in the air. His route running could use some work, but that's what coaching is for.

Kirk has all the tools to be an Odell Beckham Jr.-like receiver, however, it may take some time for him to adjust to the NFL game. With Arizona's quarterback possibly in flux, Kirk seems like someone to pass on this season.
