This is not how Dez Bryant wants to go out.
The former Cowboys star, who tore his Achilles tendon in his second practice after signing with the Saints last month, told Dallas/Fort Worth's 105.3 The Fan he wants to play in 2019.

“I have to (play again). I got business and I got ball,” Bryant said (via Star-Telegram.com). “I can’t end like this. I have to throw the X up.”
Bryant, who turned 30 last month, is on the downside of a great career; the wide receiver hasn't had a 1,000-yard season since 2014. Yet the Saints believed in Bryant enough to sign him to a one-year deal Nov. 8 after the Cowboys had released him in the offseason.
After Bryant's injury landed him on IR, the team reportedly indicated it would be interested in re-signing him for next year. He'll need five to eight months to recover form the Achilles injury.
Bryant told the radio station he has no hard feelings toward the Cowboys, despite his abrupt exit in April.
“I’m going to always love the Cowboys,” Bryant said. “I’m going to always love Jerry Jones. I’m going to always love those players in that locker room.”
