That didn't take long.

Texans fans got the quarterback many had wanted all along when rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson replaced starter Tom Savage to begin the second half against the Jaguars Sunday at NRG Stadium.

The move paid a quick dividend, as the first-round pick led the Texans on a 14-play, 75-yard drive, ending with a 4-yard TD pass to DeAndre Hopkins.

Things didn't work out too well for Watson after that drive, however, as he finished 12 of 23 for 102 yards, with that TD pass and an interception in the Texans 29-7 loss. Savage, who went 7 for 13 for 62 yards with lost two fumbles before being benched, actually had a higher passer rating than Watson (66.8 to 60.4).

Still, many fans seemed happy to see Watson get the call.

The real problem may be that the Texans gave up 10 sacks, six on Savage, four on Watson. No quarterback looks good when he's running for cover.
