Dalvin Cook injury update: Vikings RB expected to play Sunday in limited role image

Dalvin Cook is expected to play Sunday against the Cardinals, but the Vikings running back will be on a snap count, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

The paper reports Cook, who is listed as questionable on the team's injury report, will be limited to no more than 20 to 25 carries.

Cook has missed two of the past three games after injuring his hamstring in Week 2. He was ineffective in a game he did play since that time, carrying the ball 10 times for 20 yards against the Rams in Week 4.

The second-year running back was a full participant Thursday in practice but was limited a day later. He said Friday his hamstring is feeling better, but he's still day to day.

"That's the tricky thing with these hamstrings," Cook said (via ESPN). "It's more of a 'feel' thing, and I'm just trying to feel through it each and every day."

Cook missed all but four games last season with a torn ACL. He's carried the ball 36 times for 98 yards in limited action this year.
