In a corresponding roster move, the team promoted tight end Blake Jarwin from the practice squad. He is expected to fill the void left after tight end Rico Gathers was sidelined with a concussion. The Star-Telegram reported the Eagles were about to sign Jarwin to their active roster, so the Cowboys promoted him to keep him in the organizaiton.
The Cowboys had previously released Moore in September during final roster cuts before re-signing him the following week after Gathers was placed on injured reserve.
Moore, 28, entered training camp as the Prescott’s primary backup after missing the entire 2016 season with a broken fibula. He recorded 779 yards with four touchdowns and six interceptions in three games during the 2015 season.
