Jim Irsay says Andrew Luck will be back with 'a fierce fire' image

Colts quarterback Andrew Luck missed the entire 2017 season with a shoulder injury after suffering a setback during his recovery.

Team owner Jim Irsay, who fired coach Chuck Pagano after six seasons, backed his quarterback to not only return next season, but succeed.

"Andrew Luck is going to be back, and back with a fierce fire in his eyes, I promise you," Irsay said, via IndyStar Sports. "(He has) a 107-degree fever for success right now."

The Colts went just 4-12 this season, struggling to consistently put points on the board. Luck last played in 2016, when he threw for 4,240 yards, 31 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. If healthy, he should help re-spark Indianapolis' offense.

Luck spent six weeks in Europe this fall working with a trainer, but claimed he did not receive any injections. Luck has stated that he plans on being ready for the start of next season.
