Chris Stapleton's national anthem at Super Bowl 57 draws heaps of praise on social media: 'Smashed that' image

The game hadn't even started yet and social media already declared a winner. 

Country singer Chris Stapleton brought the house down with his rendition of the national anthem, and sports Twitter took notice.

Social media, in general, always stays ready to strike at even the slightest missteps, but sometimes a singer comes along and absolutely nails it.

It was so powerful, in fact, that it reduced Nick Sirianni to tears and unified Twitter in praise of his understated, outstanding performances.

Stapleton's version was slow, yet short. Dynamic, yet easy. And NFL Twitter was absolutely enamored with it.

In a world where it's easy to nitpick, it was nice to see someone get nearly universal acclaim.

It was so powerful, it even brought Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni to tears.

Sirianni wasn't the only one in his feelings, either.

It's truly that level of praise all the way down, there wasn't a bad word to be found about Stapleton's anthem. It was a great lead-in to the Super Bowl, and it looks like his anthem is going to be remembered for a long time.
