The Chiefs are reigning back-to-back Super Bowl champions, and they already are feeling great about their teams' chances to pull a "three-peat" after the 2024 NFL season.

Here's the recent resume: Kansas City has hit double-digit victories for 10 of 11 seasons under coach Andy Reid. It has won at least 11 games in six straight seasons. So far with Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs have won the Super Bowl after going 12-4 in 2019, 14-3 in 2022, and 11-6 in 2023. They have made the playoffs in nine consecutive seasons and are looking for a ninth AFC West title in succession.

The Chiefs again are the team to beat, no matter who are they playing in the regular season or in the playoffs. Here's how Kansas City’s schedule shapes up for the 2024 NFL season:

Chiefs strength of schedule

The Chiefs have a rather favorable slate considering they are the reigning Super Bowl champions. They are tied with the Bengals, Vikings, and Commanders with the 16th-toughest schedule in the league based on the combined 2023 winning percentage of their 2024 opponents (.502, 145-144).

Chiefs Super Bowl odds courtesy BetMGM (+550)

Toughest tests: The Chiefs know the first-place drill by now. This year's Bills matchup is in Buffalo, and they also draw the Texans in Kansas City. They go to the Steelers and Browns as part of facing the entire AFC North, which also includes hosting the Bengals and Ravens. The other key road game is the Super Bowl rematch vs. the 49ers in San Francisco.

Biggest breaks: The Chiefs won't feel bad about beating up on the Broncos and Raiders twice each, although the Chargers became more challenging in the AFC West thanks to Jim Harbaugh. Kansas City also draws the entire weak NFC South to offset some of that above difficulty.

Bottom line: The Chiefs won't be daunted by any kind of schedule at this point thanks to the power of Mahomes, Andy Reid, Chris Jones, and Travis Kelce. They are becoming a new Patriots-like powerhouse as an established three-ring dynasty. They should easily go 5-1 in the division and will be favored to go at least 4-1 vs. the NFC. Even with the tough remaining slate, they should get back to 12 or more wins.

Chiefs 2024 record prediction: 12-5
