The Panthers seem to have received some good news about their star.
Carolina quarterback Cam Newton, who has been dealing with a foot injury, is considered "day-to-day, not week-to-week," according to a report from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Newton was ruled out for Carolina's matchup with the Cardinals on Sunday and Kyle Allen started in his place.
From @NFLGameDay: #Panthers QB Cam Newton (foot) improved throughout the week and has a chance to practice on Wednesday. He's day-to-day, not week-to-week, but Kyle Allen starts today. pic.twitter.com/el0ncj8W7i

Rapoport added:
"I'm told there is a real chance that (Newton) is actually back at practice Wednesday. He's day-to-day with that foot injury not week-to-week. That said, the Panthers have a ton of confidence in Kyle Allen."
Newton originally hurt his foot in the preseason and re-aggravated the injury in Carolina's 20-14 loss to the Buccaneers in Week 2. The team has not given an official timetable for his return.
This seems to be play Cam Newton aggravated his foot. Missed Greg Olsen by a mile on next play.
