Broncos coach Vic Fangio had a simple explanation for Emmanuel Sanders' postgame comments Sunday.

The wide receiver told reporters after Denver's 27-16 loss to the Packers that the team was "living in a world of suck." Fangio was asked about Sanders' statement when he met with reporters one day later.

“He was just repeating what I had said in the locker room after the game," Fangio said. "I told them, 'We’re going to have to deal with everybody thinking we suck.' All of us, not just players—coaches, everybody, the whole organization — we need to deal with that. He was basically just repeating what I had said.”

Denver stayed with the Packers for most of the game but ultimately fell at Lambeau Field to drop to 0-3 in 2019.

“You just have a strong upper lip, look at the positives, realize what the negatives are, do your best to correct those negatives and know who you are as a person, as a team and as a player and as a coach," Fangio said. "We’ve all had some success at different degrees throughout our careers, even the players, especially the young ones, and us as coaches. We’ve got to just stick to it and get through the hard times.”

Broncos quarterback Joe Flacco completed 20 of his 29 passes for 213 yards with an interception against Green Bay while Courtland Sutton finished with a team-high five receptions for 87 yards. Phillip Lindsay rushed for Denver's only two touchdowns in the loss.

“We’ve got the players here to win," Fangio said. "I believe in these players, I enjoy being around them every day. They’re a bunch of good guys. They’re trying their butts off. We just have to play a little bit better. Along with that, we have to coach better. If we’re breaking down fundamentally in certain areas at critical times, that is an indictment on us as coaches too, not just the players.”

The Broncos will face the Jaguars in Week 4. They last made the playoffs in 2015.
