The Chargers and Broncos will continue their AFC West rivalry when the teams meet on New Year's Eve at Empower Field at Mile High.

Denver's disappointing 26-23 loss to New England in Week 16 was a blow to the team's playoff hopes. The Broncos (7-8) are now hoping that they will receive a boost from backup quarterback Jarrett Stidham, who will start over Russell Wilson because of both football and financial reasons.
