We're a few days past Halloween, but at least one attendee of the Cowboys-Giants game Monday night was still in costume.
A black cat ran onto the field and stopped play for about a minute during the second quarter at MetLife Stadium. The cat initially entered around midfield, but eventually made its way into the end zone and up a tunnel.
Shiftiest player in the NFC!

Security personnel attempted to corral the cat before it escaped into the tunnel.
It didn't look particularly comfortable on the field, as tends to happen when a feline is in an open field surrounded by 80,000 people. Madelyn Burke reported the crowd may have been the reason the cat ended up on the field in the first place.
Asked building security about the black cat on the field: Apparently there are some resident stray cats at MetLife— they usually come out after the game, people feed them, etc. They live in the bleachers, I’m told this one must have gotten startled out by fan noise #journalism

Some other black cats seemed to enjoy seeing one of their own on the big stage.

Though at least one dog apparently felt left out.
