If you like offense or really hate defense, the Vikings and Chargers Week 3 matchup in Minnesota is the game for you. For Kirk Cousins and Justin Herbert, it's all about avoiding the dreaded 0-3 start, a death sentence for NFL playoff hopefuls. These two high-flying offenses come in as almost mirror images of one another. Both teams score plenty of points, but so do their opponents. There are plenty of stars situated on the offensive side of the ball.
This is also an important game for Chargers coach Brandon Staley. If his team falls to 0-3, it could be all they wrote for his tenure in Los Angeles. The defensive-minded coach can't get his team to figure it out on defense, instead relying on winning shootouts every week. That strategy hasn't paid off yet in 2023, with two heartbreaking losses that came in the final minute of regulation in Week 1 and overtime in Week 2.
On the flip side, Cousins is dealing with a one-dimensional team that can only pass on offense and can't play defense. The Vikings were elite in one-score games a year ago but are 0-2 in such circumstances this year. Kevin O'Connell's seat isn't nearly as hot, but continuing to stumble in 2023 might start turning the temperature up on him too. It's not nationally televised, unfortunately, but this is one you won't want to miss if you have the opportunity to watch. A bettor's dream, OVERs are the only thing on the menu in this college football-esque game of two offenses scrimmaging against the air. Let's head over to SuperDraft and accept some of the free money they're offering us in the Twin Cities for Week 3.
SuperDraft users can win 3X the amount wagered if their two-legged player prop parlay hits. Consequently, the more legs you add to your player prop parlay, the larger your potential payout becomes, but as the long odds indicate, completing a clean sweep is challenging.
Below, we'll break down four of our favorite SuperDraft player props for the battle between 0-2 teams, the Chargers and Vikings. Users don't necessarily have to parlay all four picks together, though. Instead, you could make separate two-legged parlays to increase your win probability or attempt to hit it big if all three picks come through.

Best Chargers-Vikings prop bets: SuperDraft player prop picks for Week 3
*10x potential payout if users parlay all four correct picks
1. Kirk Cousins, QB, Vikings — OVER 291.5 passing yards
Captain Kirk just keeps on slinging, mainly because he has no choice. The Vikings can’t run the ball and are a pass-first offense. They have by far the fewest rushing yards, 69 to be exact, in the league this season. As a result, Cousins had blown past this number in both games with 344 and 364 passing yards, respectively. The Chargers’ secondary is no stranger to giving up big plays after making Ryan Tannehill, who looked washed in Week 1, have an efficient day with the arm in Week 2 (20-of-24, 246 yards). That came on the heels of Tua Tagovailoa putting up college-like stats, throwing for almost 500 yards in the opening week. Cousins doesn't have a running game to contend with and, in a projected shootout, has to rely on his arm to get the job done.

2. Jordan Addison, WR, Vikings — OVER 49.5 receiving yards
Addison is still situated behind K.J. Osborn on the depth chart, but he's turning in big-time production in a limited role. A team like the Vikings, who are 0-2, can't be stubborn and ignore the rookie receiver much longer. He's been able to capitalize with two long touchdowns in each of their first two games and should continue seeing an uptick in usage before eventually taking over Osborn's role. That is coming sooner rather than later, and what better time than the present? Addison can ease his way in against a nonexistent Chargers' defense in a game where Minnesota will need to score at will in order to keep up and potentially win. Plus, this is the same team that was shredded by multiple Titans' receivers on Sunday. That tells you all you need to know.
3. Justin Herbert, QB, Chargers — OVER 283.5 passing yards
Much like Cousins, this game is riding on the arm of Herbert for the Chargers. He has been far from the problem, but he will need to be the entire solution if this team is going to win and keep pace in the quest for the playoffs. He threw for 305 yards on Sunday in Nashville without Austin Ekeler (ankle) being there to control the running game. He likely won't have Ekeler again in Minnesota, but he gets a soft matchup against a poor Vikings defense. With multiple weapons in the passing game, expect Herbert to throw early and often as L.A. tries to keep pace with the Vikings.

4. Keenan Allen, WR, Chargers — OVER 73.5 receiving yards
If Herbert is going to be throwing a lot on Sunday, most of those targets will be funneled to Allen, his No. 1 and favorite target. Allen is 2-0 in covering this line this season, with 76 yards in Week 1 and 111 in Week 2. He's healthy and firmly planted atop the depth chart at receiver. No one on that Vikings' defense is shutting him down, so expect Allen to feast again as Kellen Moore continues running the offense through his WR1.
