Best 49ers-Steelers prop bets: SuperDraft player prop picks for Week 1

*10x potential payout if users parlay all four correct picks

1. 49ers RB Christian McCaffrey — OVER 59.5 rushing yards

The Steelers' run defense is solid and it was in the top 10 last season, but it also allowed 12 running backs to surpass 60 yards, including twice in divisional matchups with the Ravens (JK Dobbins) and Browns (Nick Chubb). The key is getting McCaffrey enough volume on the ground vs. passes caught. Including playoffs, McCaffrey has cleared this number in six of the past nine games. It should take only 15 carries, a very reasonable workload in the opener.

2. Steelers WR George Pickens — UNDER 43.5 receiving yards

The 49ers' pass rush can keep the Steelers' offensive line from giving second-year Kenny Pickett time to throw downfield and connect on big plays with his favorite second-year receiver. There's a good chance Pickens (6-3, 200 pounds) will see a lot of big cornerback Charvarius Ward (6-1, 196 pounds) in coverage to contain him deep with size and speed. This is more of a game for the versatile short-to-intermediate savvy technicians.

3. Steelers WR Diontae Johnson — OVER 50.5 receiving yards

Speaking of that, Johnson should get more favorable coverage to exploit from Deommodore Lenoir and others. Pickett should target Johnson around eight times in this game, and Johnson's efficiency should lead to about six catches. Don't expect Johnson or any other receiver to have a big game on either side, but he can clear the floor here with 60 yards.

4. 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk — UNDER 48.5 receiving yards

The demise of Patrick Peterson as an elite cornerback has been greatly exaggerated. The future Hall-of-Famer is coming off a strong season with the Vikings and still has speed at 33. Peterson has a lot of respect for Aiyuk's rise into a dangerous receiver, but he also should remember how he bodyslammed him in a 2021 meeting. Just like Johnson vs. Pickens, this figures to be more of a Deebo Samuel game than an Aiyuk one.
