Antonio Brown injury update: Raiders receiver reportedly got frostbite from cryotherapy machine image

Antonio Brown is day-to-day after seeing a foot specialist over the weekend for a mysterious foot injury that has kept him sidelined since the beginning of training camp.

Brown was placed on the non-football injury list after arriving on July 26 and questions about his health quickly surfaced. Specific details of Brown's injury were not disclosed after seeing the specialist. However, according to a recent report from ProFootballTalk, the injury came from a cryotherapy machine.

The report, which cited a source with knowledge of the situation, said Brown entered the machine "without the proper footwear" and "his feet were frostbitten."

Brown's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, did not respond to ProFootballTalk's request for comment. But, Brown did post a photo on social media prior to seeing a specialist that showed possible damage on the bottoms of his feet.

According to a report from the San Diego Union Tribune, Brown might have to undergo, or has already had, a debridement procedure to quicken the recovery process. The outpatient procedure is typically done without anesthesia, the report noted.

Whatever the case may be, coach Jon Gruden has not been happy with the start of Brown's first season as a Raider.

"I think we're all disappointed," Gruden said at the start of camp, per ESPN. "We think he's disappointed. We'd like to get the party started. We'd like to get him out here. He's a big part of the team."

Brown was acquired in a trade by the Raiders, who signed him to a three-year, $50 million contract.
