ALERT: Andrew Luck is on the field.

The Colts quarterback is still rehabbing a calf-turned-ankle injury, but fans can rejoice after video surfaced Saturday of Luck's pre-game warmup.

He, of course, did not participate in the eventual 21-18 loss the the Browns. But he showed good movement as he moved laterally and stepped firmly into his throws.

Here's another angle:

The warmup doesn't have an immediate effect on Luck's possible return.

Colts coach Frank Reich said after the game the team will evaluate Luck in the “next couple of days" and there's "really no further update," according to a report from ESPN.

The report also noted:

"(Luck's) workout included footwork drills where he went side-to-side before attempting a pass. Luck's had a difficult time with side-to-side movement due to the pain in his left ankle. ... Luck, according to several people, has been doing workouts like that in private as he continues to work his way back from his calf and ankle injury. This next week is a big one for Luck."

The four-time Pro Bowl signal-caller is slated to start Week 1 of the regular season.

Indianapolis will likely make the decision after its third preseason game.

"You have to be able to make a call and move from there," Reich told reporters earlier in the week, "whether we're full speed with Andrew after that third preseason game (Aug. 24) or if at that point we are going with (bacukp QB) Jacoby (Brissett)."
