Andrew Luck: Sack was reminiscent of ‘how I injured my shoulder’ image

Andrew Luck didn’t look great in Monday’s preseason game against the Ravens, but at least he came out in one piece — barely.

A blindside hit on Luck in the second quarter courtesy of Terrell Suggs sucked the air out of Lucas Oil Stadium for a few brief moments. But Luck popped up off the turf, congratulated Suggs on the hit and relived the play with reporters after the game.

"I landed on my right elbow, sort of reminiscent of how I injured my shoulder a couple of years ago," Luck said . "Didn’t feel anything, didn’t even give it a second thought. I think maybe that’s actually a big deal for me, to sort of lose that thought bubble if you will."

Luck went 6 of 13 with 50 passing yards and one interception. The first-team offense netted only 44 yards, but the QB said he was “very encouraged” and added: “I feel great.”

The Colts continue the preseason against the 49ers on Saturday.
