The Cowboys are going to be thinking about Alvin Kamara for a while.
The Saints completely dominated Dallas in their Week 2 matchup thanks to the star running back's production. Kamara thrashed through the Cowboys' defense for three touchdowns in the first half to set the tone for New Orleans and didn't stop there.
Kamara has nearly matched his entire 2023 season's worth of scores (6) through the first two games of the year. For more on his big day and the pursuit of his own touchdown record, The Sporting News has you covered below.

The Saints' offense rolled over the Cowboys' defense in the first half thanks to Kamara and Derek Carr. New Orleans scored a touchdown on each of its first five drives with Kamara finding the end zone three times.
Kamara punched in an easy five-yard touchdown to set the tone and give the Saints a 7-0 lead. Carr connected with Rashid Shaheed on a 70-yard bomb on the following drive to open things up, then Kamara broke loose again.
Carr threw a quick screen pass to Kamara out of the backfield and the star running back did the rest of the work from there. He exploded straight through the middle of Dallas' defense to go untouched on a 57-yard touchdown to extend New Orleans' lead to 21-6.

The Cowboys answered back with a touchdown but Kamara had another response in him. Carr engineered an 11-play, 70-yard drive that was capped off by an easy 12-yard dash to the end zone to give Kamara a first-half hat trick.

Kamara had a prime opportunity for a fourth touchdown late in the second quarter after a New Orleans interception set up a red zone possession. Chris Olave made a spectacular catch to bring the Saints to the one-yard line but Carr got in the end zone on a quarterback sneak instead of rewarding his running back with another TD.
Kamara got back to the promise land in the third quarter, though. This time, it was a seven-yard touchdown for his fourth score to give New Orleans a dominant 41-19 lead heading into the final frame.
He finished the game with 180 all-purpose yards on 22 total touches to go with his four scores.
Kamara had five rushing touchdowns the entire season last year. He has already tied that total through one game in 2024.

Kamara already has a share of the NFL touchdown record.
He had six rushing touchdowns against the Vikings on Christmas Day in 2020, tying a record that is also held by Gale Sayers (1965) and Dub Jones (1951).
