Alvin Kamara injury update: Saints RB says 'I'm good to go' vs. Jets image

Saints rookie Alvin Kamara suffered a concussion on a vicious helmet-to-helmet hit last Thursday against the Falcons, but he assured New Orleans fans and fantasy owners he'll be back on the field Sunday against the Jets.

"I'm good to go," Kamara told reporters after Wednesday's practice (via Fox 8).

The third-round pick out of Tennessee is a Rookie of the Year favorite with 608 rushing yards, 639 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns. With three regular-season games remaining, Kamara is the third rookie in NFL history with 600 rushing and receiving yards in a season.

Kamara should have a nice return to the fold as the Jets rank 21st against the run (116.9 rushing yards per game) and in total defense (327.3 yards per game).

The Saints (9-4) still have a hold on the NFC South with a tiebreak advantage over the Panthers (9-4) — a team they’ve beaten twice this season.
