Special features of Allegiant Stadium

Unlike most covered stadiums, Allegiant Stadium's field is made out of real grass. It has a moveable track underneath the field that allows the grass to be wheeled outside to receive direct sunlight.

The roof of the stadium is completely translucent for that reason, which is why there isn't a massive jumbotron hanging from the ceiling like AT&T Stadium in Dallas or SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

Is the Allegiant Stadium roof retractable?

No, it is not. But Allegiant Stadium does have retractable "curtain-like" side windows that can open up on a beautiful day to make it feel like an indoor-outdoor stadium.

Is Allegiant Stadium air conditioned?

Yes, when Allegiant Stadium is fully closed it is climate-controlled with air conditioning.

What is Allegiant Stadium named for?

Allegiant Stadium is named after the Allegiant Travel Company.

The Allegiant Travel Company is reportedly paying more than $20 million per year for the naming rights, and it will hold the naming rights for the first 30 years (through 2050).
