Lamar Jackson is the latest quarterback to declare for the 2018 NFL Draft after spending three years at Louisville.
The 2016 Heisman Trophy winner announced that he will forgo his final season of NCAA eligibility in a post on Twitter, and thanked the Cardinals for all of their support.
"My time in Louisville has produced some fo the best memories of my life," Jackson wrote. "After much discussion with my family and coaches, I have made the decision to take the next step in my career and enter the NFL draft.
"It has been nothing short of an honor to be a member of #CardsNation and to play for this university."

Jackson certainly left his mark on college football as one of the most dynamic quarterbacks Louisville has seen. In 2016 he had a record-setting season with 3,543 passing yards, 30 touchdowns and nine interceptions while rushing for 1,571 yards and 21 touchdowns.

He followed up with an even more impressive 2017 season adding 3,660 passing yards, 27 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He rushed for 1,601 yards and 18 touchdowns, while finishing third in the Heisman voting.
Jackson joins a list of high-caliber quarterbacks that have already declared for the NFL Draft including UCLA's Josh Rosen and USC's Sam Darnold, who announced their intentions earlier this week.
