The New York Knicks travelled to London to take on the Washington Wizards in the NBA's annual game in the UK.
MORE: Meet New York Knicks rookie Kevin Knox
In anticipation for the game, Knicks rookie Kevin Knox will be wearing a pair of special PUMA Clyde Court "London" edition shoes.
Knox's kicks will be an ode to London's heritage, with a red colourway and a black lion design. The English Lion which is synonymous with culture in the U.K. is their national symbol of strength.
"They were really cool," Knox told NBA.com after the Knicks' 101-100 loss to the Wizards in London. "Dope concept with a lion on it.
"I felt very good. One of the best shoes I think I’ve ever worn".
The Lion also appears in national sites and sculptures as well as serves as a logo for their national sporting teams such as the England football (soccer) team and cricket team.
This will be the sixth version of the Clyde Court Disrupt since PUMA launched the shoe in October of 2018. It's the first basketball shoe PUMA had released in 20 years.
The Clyde Court London sneakers are available for purchase at PUMA and various other location.
Knox is averaging 12.7 points, 4.2 rebounds in his first season in the NBA.
He signed a multi-year deal with PUMA in September joining fellow rookies DeAndre Ayton, Marvin Bagley, Michael Porter Jr. and Zhaire Smith on the PUMA roster.
