Alex Hornibrook threw for four touchdowns to lead No. 6 Wisconsin to a 34-24 win over No. 10 Miami at the Orange Bowl on Saturday night.
Wisconsin fell behind 14-3 in the second quarter but scored touchdowns on its next three possessions to take the lead before halftime. Miami cut its deficit to three early in the fourth quarter before the Badgers answered with a touchdown of their own to pull away.

Hornibrook tallied 258 passing yards to go along with his four touchdowns, while Jonathan Taylor rushed for 130 yards on 26 carries. The Badgers defense also forced three turnovers.
Malik Rosier registered 203 passing yards and a score but he also threw three interceptions. DeeJay Dallas and Travis Homer each rushed for a touchdown for Miami in the losing effort.

Final score: Wisconsin 34, Miami 24
11:35 p.m.: Wisconsin takes two knees and secures the win.
11:32 p.m.: Rosier throws his third interception of the game and that should do it. Wisconsin has it with 1:19 to play and the Hurricanes are out of timeouts.
11:30 p.m.: Miami gets a stop and forces a Wisconsin punt. The Hurricanes will get the ball back at their 30 with 1:37 to play.
11:25 p.m.: Wisconsin picks up a first down after an offside penalty on Miami and it’ll have a chance to run the clock down further. The Badgers have the ball with a 10-point lead and 3:14 to play.
11:18 p.m.: Miami comes away with no points. Wisconsin sacks Rosier on third down and it appears Miami will have to settle for a field goal to make it a one-score game. But Michael Badgley’s 24-yard attempt bangs off the upright, keeping the Hurricanes deficit at 34-24.
11:15 p.m.: Rosier finds Jeff Thomas down the middle for a 48-yard gain, moving Miami into the red zone with 6:44 left to go.
11:09 p.m.: Touchdown, Wisconsin. Hornibrook throws his fourth touchdown of the game. This time, he finds Danny Davis in the end zone for a 6-yard score. Wisconsin now leads 34-24 with 7:44 to play. Davis also has three touchdown receptions for the Badgers.
11:06 p.m.: Hornibrook completes three passes totaling 52 yards, moving Wisconsin to the Miami 23 with 9:11 remaining.
10:59 p.m.: Miami advances to the Badgers 24 before Rosier throws an incomplete pass on third down. Michael Badgley kicks a 41-yard field goal and Miami now trails 27-24 with 11:34 left to play.
10:52 p.m.: Hornibrook’s third-down pass falls incomplete and the Badgers punt to start the fourth quarter.

10:43 p.m.: A Rosier pass on third down is broken up and Miami punts with 2:07 to play in the third quarter.
10:36 p.m.: Field goal, Wisconsin. The Badgers move to the Miami 30 on an 18-yard pass from Hornibrook to A.J. Taylor but they fail to advance further. Rafael Gaglianone adds a 47-yard field goal to increase Wisconsin’s lead to 27-21.
10:25 p.m.: Turnover, Miami. The Hurricanes drive to the Wisconsin 24 before a Rosier pass is picked off in the end zone by Badgers defensive back Derrick Tindal. Wisconsin will take over at its 20.
10:24 p.m.: Kendric Pryor drops a pass from Hornibrook on third down and Wisconsin is forced to punt.
10:18 p.m.: Touchdown, Miami. Malik Rosier connects with a wide open Lawrence Cager down the middle of the field for a 38-yard touchdown. Miami trails 24-21 with 10:52 remaining in the third quarter.
10:15 p.m.: Hornibrook is sacked on third down and Wisconsin punts. Miami will take over at the Badgers 46.
10:11 p.m.: Malik Rosier opens the half with a 20-yard run. Miami, however, fails to move the chains again and it punts.
10:07 p.m.: We’re back for the second half at Hard Rock Stadium. Miami will start the period’s opening drive at its 22.
Halftime: Wisconsin 24, Miami 14
9:44 p.m.: Miami runs one play before time runs out in the half. The Hurricanes head to the locker room trailing by 10.
9:41 p.m.: Touchdown, Wisconsin. The Badgers lead swells to 24-14 on a 5-yard touchdown pass from Hornibrook to Danny Davis. Miami coach Mark Richt was called for an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty just before the touchdown pass. Wisconsin has now found the end zone on three straight drives.

9:28 p.m.: Miami goes three-and-out and punts for a second straight possession. Wisconsin will take over at its 36 with 3:59 remaining in the half.
9:21 p.m.: Touchdown, Wisconsin. The Badgers eat up over six minutes of game action on a 12-play, 71-yard drive and score on another back shoulder pass from Hornibrook, who finds A.J. Taylor in the end zone. Wisconsin takes a 17-14 lead with 5:49 to play in the half.
9:13 p.m.: Miami goes three-and-out and punts.

8:58 p.m.: Wisconsin appears to pick up a first down when Alex Hornibrook finds Kendric Pryor for a 27-yard completion but the play is called back after a holding penalty. Hornibrook follows with an incomplete pass and the Badgers punt.
8:48 p.m.: Touchdown, Miami. DeeJay Dallas takes a handoff and bounces outside for a 39-yard touchdown run on the second play of the drive as the Hurricanes take a 14-3 lead.

8:37 p.m.: Touchdown, Miami. The Hurricanes string together a seven-play, 75-yard drive and score on a 5-yard run by Travis Homer to take a 7-3 lead. Malik Rosier completed a key 22-yard pass to DeeJay Dallas earlier in the drive.

8:28 p.m.: Field goal, Wisconsin. The Badgers move into Miami territory on two long runs by Jonathan Taylor and a 9-yard pass by Alex Hornibrook. Hornibrook follows with an incomplete pass to the end zone on third down and Wisconsin settles for a short field goal to take a 3-0 lead.
8:20 p.m.: Miami fails to turn the Wisconsin turnover into points. The Hurricanes drive to the Wisconsin 37 before their drive stalls after two short runs and an incomplete pass from Malik Rosier on third down. Michael Badgley comes on and attempts a 53-yard field goal, but his kick is no good.
8:14 p.m.: Turnover, Wisconsin. The Badgers turn it over on their first drive. After Alex Hornibrook completes an 18-yard pass to A.J. Taylor to move the chains, Jonathan Taylor takes a handoff and gains 18 yards. But the ball is knocked loose at the end of the run and Miami recovers. Taylor was originally ruled down but after replay review, the play is overturned. Miami takes possession at its 31.
This was ruled not a fumble on the field and reversed to a fumble on replay.
