National Signing Day has passed, and we gleaned quite a lot from how the Class of 2018 played out.
Most teams already had the majority of their classes from college football’s first early signing period — which saw Georgia take the early lead under second-year coach Kirby Smart — but plenty of last-minute moves helped tweak the final rankings.

Georgia easily earned the top spot over Ohio State, which came into NSD as the No. 1 team. Alabama also failed to close as strong as it has in recent years, knocking the Tide back all the way to No. 9. Texas got a few impressive wins — but also lost out on some big recruits.
