UCLA entered the season unranked after losing a great deal of talent, including QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson, but Chip Kelly has made it work to this point. Saturday brings the first real test of the season for the Bruins.
Freshman QB Dante Moore has looked strong since taking over as UCLA's starter, tossing seven touchdown passes with just one interception, but Utah's defense has yet to allow more than 13 points in a game this season and could make life difficult for the young signal-caller.
The Utes have some questions of their own on the offensive side of the ball. The status of QB Cameron Rising remains up in the air after he missed Utah's first three games, and Nate Johnson replaced Bryson Barnes as the team's starter in Week 3.
As Utah chases a third consecutive Pac-12 championship, the uncertain quarterback situation remains a potential roadblock in a loaded conference.
Saturday's battle will be a major test for both sides, but it won't be the last. Utah still has USC, Oregon, Washington and Colorado ahead, while UCLA will face Washington State, Colorado and USC among others after its bye.
