Mark Hudspeth fired as University of Louisiana head coach, per report image

University of Louisiana-Lafayette head coach Mark Hudspeth has been fired after a 5-7 season, per a report from Tim Buckley of The Daily Advertiser in Lafayette, La.

 

 

The Ragin' Cajuns went 4-4 in the Sun Belt Conference. The Ragin' Cajuns lost to Southern Miss in the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl last year. The 2017 season was the third-straight losing season for UL.

Hudspeth went 51-38 in seven years as coach of the Ragin' Cajuns. However, 51 wins were vacated by the NCAA due to NCAA sanctions related to recruiting violations and his official record is 29-38.
