No. 8 Auburn got going early and never let up against No. 17 Texas A&M on Saturday.

The Tigers remain undefeated after the 28-20 win over the Aggies, who tried to rally in the fourth quarter but couldn't quite catch up to the streaking Auburn team.

Texas A&M fell to 2-2 with the loss.

Auburn didn't take its foot off the gas

The Tigers were in control early after a 57-yard rushing touchdown from Anthony Schwartz and never relinquished the lead.

Bo Nix finished the day 12-of-20 passing for 100 yards and one touchdown and favored Seth Williams, who had four catches for 47 yards and one score.

JaTarvious Whitlow, who has stepped up as of late, had 67 yards on the ground and one touchdown.

Bo Nix picked apart the secondary

Texas A&M was sporting an improved secondary unit until Nix showed up.

The freshman quarterback made few errors in his first road game Saturday, which is impressive considering just how much the Aggies' defensive backs have improved.

Texas A&M is among the top teams in the nation when it comes to takeaways. The Aggies are tied for the third-most interceptions (five) after four games, which is a stark contrast to their output last year when they finished with seven on the season.

Nix has already been picked off twice this year by Oregon, but he hasn't given up an interception since — a streak that continued Saturday.

Texas A&M needed to run, but couldn't get it going

The Aggies needed a big performance from their backfield but never got it against a stout Tigers' defense.

They put together just 56 total yards with Kellen Mond (26 yards) and Jacob Kibodi (21) doing the bulk of the work.

"We shut down the run, that really made a difference in the first half," Auburn coach Gus Malzahn said after the game.

Texas A&M has the talent even with the season-ending injury to Jashaun Corbin. Last week, freshman Isaiah Spiller had a breakout game with 116 yards. However, this time around he finished with nine.
