Texas and Tom Herman have already gotten off to a strong start on its 2019 recruiting class with the commitment of Jordan Whittington.
Whittington — a five-star receiver who ranks 24th nationally, fourth at his position and third in the state of Texas via 247Sports' Composite rankings — announced his commitment to the Longhorns via Twitter on Saturday.

Whittington, listed at 6-1, 198 pounds, is the third commitment of Texas' 2019 class and its first five-star recruit. Texas' class now ranks 19th nationally and fourth in the Big 12.
The Longhorns in 2018 ranked third nationally and best in the Big 12.
