For the second time in less than a month, a Tagovailoa quarterback has found a new home.
In April, Tua Tagovailoa was drafted fifth overall by the Dolphins. On Friday, his younger brother Taulia announced he was moving to College Park, Md.

"This decision was not easy and has been prayed on non stop," Taulia Tagovailoa wrote in his tweet.
The rising sophomore entered the NCAA transfer portal last week after a season at Alabama. He was the 180th-ranked player in the Class of 2019, according to 247Sports. He chose the Crimson Tide out of high school over offers from LSU, Florida and other major programs.

Maryland might seem like a surprising destination considering its 3-9 record in 2019, but the program has strong Alabama ties. Head coach Mike Locksley was on Nick Saban's staff at Alabama from 2016-18 and served as the team's offensive coordinator in 2018. Maryland was also a finalist for former Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts when he was in the transfer portal prior to the 2019 season.
Barring a waiver or a change in NCAA transfer rules, Taulia Tagovailoa will have to sit out the 2020 season before becoming eligible to play in 2021.
