For only the second time in 50 years, there will be two Sugar Bowls in the same calendar year.

On the first day of 2022, Baylor beat Ole Miss 21-7 to capture the Sugar Bowl title. On the final day of 2022, the latest edition of the game will be played.

The Sugar Bowl is poised to once again feature two standout programs: No. 5 Alabama, the top-ranked SEC team not in the College Football Playoff, and No. 9 Kansas State, winner of the Big 12 conference.
