SN Week 8 college football rankings: Top 25 shaken up, but Playoff picture still intact image

College football's Week 7 was a telling one, if not for the latest top 25 rankings, then at least for the College Football Playoff picture.

There was bound to be some movement across the board after several top-25 matchups took place, including Oklahoma-Texas, LSU-Florida and Penn State-Iowa. We knew those matchups would affect Sporting News' latest set of rankings.

What we didn't expect were the upsets of unbeatens in Georgia, Memphis or Wake Forest, who suffered defeats against South Carolina, Temple and Louisville, respectively. Those teams have some scrambling to do to make it back it to our college football rankings.
