Houston police said sports reporter Courtney Roland was in a "state of confusion" when they located her near a city overpass Monday morning.

"She's still having problems with her memory," said Houston police during a press conference Monday afternoon.

Police said they believe her confusion to be a result of a reaction to medication.

They did not, however, reveal the type of medication.

Roland went missing after covering a football camp on Saturday in Houston, according to her family.

The 29-year-old's roommate told Houston television station KPRC that Roland sent a text at 12:30 a.m. CT Sunday, saying she was in her car and being followed by a suspicious man.

Houston police said she was last seen about 5:40 p.m. CT Sunday walking alone in a store in Houston's Galleria mall.

Houston police said they do not suspect foul play.

Police said Roland did not appear to know that anyone was looking for her.

Police said Roland lost her cellphone and was actively looking for it with an app on her iPad.

"She seems pretty confused about everything," a Houston police spokesperson said.

Police said Roland, who is a reporter for Rivals' Texas A&M site AggieYell.com, is now safe with her family.
