Penn State may be in hot water again.
In a recently filed federal lawsuit, the university, football coach James Franklin and members of the Nittany Lions football team have been named as defendants in a potential hazing scandal alleged by former Penn State player Isaiah Humphries.

The lawsuit claims that Franklin and members of the Nittany Lions coaching staff repeatedly ignored hazing attempts and accuses players Micah Parsons, Yetur Gross-Matos and Jesse Luketa of spearheading the abuse. The abuse took place on campus and was witnessed by coaches who didn’t intervene, the suit states.
Humphries claims the hazing was "overtly sexual" and also says Luketa threatened to kill him for his complaints about it.
The suit states that Franklin threw Humphries out of the football program for complaining about the hazing, per a report from Penn Live. Humphries backed out on his scholarship with Penn State and transferred to the University of California.
The report also says that accusers threatened with the phrase, "I'm going to Sandusky you."
The reference is made to disgraced former Penn State defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky, who is serving 30 to 60 years in prison for sexually abusing young boys between 1994 and 2009.
Penn State issued a statement on the lawsuit, saying the district attorney would not pursue charges:
The University has established processes in place for responding to claims of potential misconduct. In accordance with our processes, the Office of Sexual Misconduct Prevention and Response and the Office of Student Conduct carried out investigations of the plaintiff’s claims independent from Intercollegiate Athletics. In addition, Penn State police investigated related allegations and forwarded the results of that investigation to the Office of the Centre County District Attorney (DA). The DA reviewed the case and decided that no charges would be pursued.
