There's no doubt the NFL leads the way on Thanksgiving, but college football fans still have a bitter rivalry game in store after the turkey is eaten.
Ole Miss and Mississippi State will do battle in the Egg Bowl on Thursday night, meeting on Thanksgiving for the third consecutive year.
While the Bulldogs got the best of the Rebels a year ago, plenty has changed. That was the final win for coach Mike Leach, who died fewer than three weeks later, and Mississippi State has suffered in his absence. Leach's replacement, Zach Arnett, was fired earlier this month, and the Bulldogs still sit a win shy of bowl eligibility.
Still, recent history shows anything can happen in this game. Ole Miss is 9-2 with losses to only Georgia and Alabama, but the Rebels have lost three of the last five Egg Bowls and face a Mississippi State team that recently got QB Will Rogers back on the field.
Coach Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss will look to get back in the win column on the road Thursday night, though the crowd in Starkville, Miss., might not make it so easy.
