Oklahoma has done its part to make a third-straight College Football Playoff appearance.

The Sooners put together an all-around complete performance against Baylor in Saturday's Big 12 championship game to win 30-23 in overtime and make one final Playoff statement. Will it be enough to sneak in as the No. 4 seed?

Jalen Hurts completed 17 of 24 passes for 287 yards and one touchdown to one interception, adding 38 yards (and a fumble) on the ground. His favorite target on the day was Biletnikoff finalist CeeDee Lamb, who brought in a game-high eight receptions for 173 receiving yards. The tandem of Kennedy Brooks and Rhamondre Stevenson combined for 25 carries and 107 yards and two touchdowns.

Baylor was similarly valiant, especially after losing starter Charlie Brewer in the second quarter to what appeared to be a head injury. His backups, Gery Bohanon and Jacob Zeno, combined for 6-of-20 passing for 215 yards and two touchdowns. The defense was excellent as well, keeping Oklahoma to 433 total yards on the day. But in the end, Baylor couldn't overcome a team that had been here before and knew how to win in crunch time.

2019 Big 12 championship final stats

3:45 p.m.: And Oklahoma does it! The pressure gets to Zeno and he throws the ball harmlessly to the ground. The Sooners' defense comes through in the clutch to win the Big 12 championship and give the team a shot at a third straight berth in the Playoff.

3:43 p.m.: And Zeno takes a huge sack for a 10-yard loss. It's fourth-and-20 with the Big 12 championship and a shot at the Playoff on the line.

3:42 p.m.: Zeno's second pass to Thornton falls incomplete. Third-and-10 upcoming.

3:40 p.m.: Zeno throws it away with two Oklahoma defenders right in his face. Second down.

3:38 p.m.: TOUCHDOWN, OKLAHOMA. Stevenson does the rest with a 5-yard run up the middle to make it 30-23 Oklahoma. Baylor needs a touchdown here to extend it.

3:37 p.m.: Hurts take the zone-read and powers ahead for 6 yards to the Baylor 5-yard line.

3:36 p.m.: Lamb gets a 2-yard reception but a facemask nets the Sooners another 15 yards. They have it first down at the 11.

3:36 p.m.: Baylor wins the toss and elects to go on defense. Here we go.

Fourth quarter: Oklahoma 23, Baylor 23

3:33 p.m.: Baylor just runs out the clock. On to overtime we go!

3:31 p.m.: Oklahoma punter Reeves Mundschau does his part, punting it 46 yards and downing it at the 1. Baylor has to be careful here.

3:28 p.m.: Hurts evades the pressure and hits Lamb in the zone again — but he drops it. The punt team comes on and Oklahoma must rely on their defense one more time.

3:28 p.m.: Oklahoma uses its second timeout of the half on third-and-3 from the Baylor 47. There's 1:22 remaining in the game.

3:26 p.m.: Lamb rolls right and hits Lamb in the zone for a 31-yard gain and a first down. Sooners are driving at their 46.

3:23 p.m.: Both players get up and walk off the field. Oklhoma now has it first-and-20 at its 15-yard line.

3:21 p.m.: Oklahoma's Brooks and Baylor's Chris Miller are both down after a midfield collision. Brooks' 11-yard rush is negated due to a holding call.

3:15 p.m.: FIELD GOAL, BAYLOR. Zeno rolls out right but can't hit his target on third-and-3. Sooners defense holds and forces the field goal attempt. Mayers hits it from 27 yards out to tie it at 23 with 3:25 left.

3:13 p.m.: And Zeno with another big play! He connects with Kalon Barnes for an 80-yard catch-and-run all the way to Oklahoma's 17-yard line. Zeno having no fear in the backfield right now.

3:08 p.m.: Zeno has no fear and zings it to Denzel Mims for his first reception of the day. At least, he would have if an O-lineman hadn't been called for ineligible man downfield. Also: Rhule is angry at the call.

3:05 p.m.: Baylor's defense holds strong just past midfield and forces a punt. The Bears will take over t their 10 with less than half a quarter remaining, down 23-20.

3:03 p.m.: Hurts connects with Stevenson, who sneaks out of the backfield for a 15-yard gain to Baylor's 46-yard line.

2:48 p.m.: Hurts backs up to avoid the pass-rush and checks down to Brooks for a 20-yard gain on third-and-6. A clutch play that gives the Sooners a fresh set of downs at Baylor's 26.

Third quarter: Oklahoma 20, Baylor 13

2:45 p.m.: A Brooks 6-yard run ends the third quarter. Baylor will need to rebound heavily to come back in this one.

2:40 p.m.: Two plays later, Murray brings Bohanon down for a loss but appears to have hurt his midsection on the play. Another potentially huge loss, but he at least walks off the field under his own power.

2:39 p.m.: JaMycal Hasty gets a nice 13-yard run for a first down out to Baylor's 33-yard line.

2:33 p.m.: TOUCHDOWN, OKLAHOMA. The Sooners retake the lead with an 18-yard touchdown connection between Hurts and Nick Basquine to make it 20-13 Oklahoma.

12:52 p.m.: Baylor gets the ball back at its 32-yard line. Brewer runs for an 8-yard gain and bowls over defensive back Brendan Radley-Hiles, sending him to the sideline.

First quarter: Oklahoma 10, Baylor 0

12:46 p.m.: Oklahoma faces third-and-23 after a first down-wiping hold call followed by a false start. The Sooners are now back at their 22.

12:25 p.m.: A false start and tackle for loss makes it second-and-17 for Baylor. Bears are heading in the wrong direction.
