Oklahoma running back Kennedy Brooks is expected to rejoin the team Wednesday after being cleared in a Title IX investigation, The Athletic reports.
Brooks had been suspended from OU summer activities after a female student filed a Title IX complaint alleging he had committed physical violence against her. She did not file a complaint with police.
The Athletic reports the university's Title IX office ruled in Brooks' favor Tuesday.
Brooks rushed for 1,056 yards (8.9 yards per carry) and 12 touchdowns last season as a redshirt freshman. He had 56 yards from scrimmage in the loss to Alabama in the College Football Playoff semifinal as the Sooners finished the season 12-2.
Brooks has been named to the first-team Preseason All-Big 12 team.
