'Good game Nebraska': Minnesota joins Illinois in trolling Cornhuskers after win image

It looks like Big Ten teams won't soon forget the giant stink Nebraska made earlier this season after the conference postponed the season.

Following Minnesota's 24-17 win over the Cornhuskers on Saturday — one in which it was down 30-plus players due to COVID-19 issues — the Golden Gophers' official athletics account expertly trolled Nebraska:

If that tweet seems familiar, it's because Illinois sent the exact same thing following its 41-23 win over Nebraska on Nov. 21. So either Minnesota and Illinois share the same social media account manager, or there's a conference-wide understanding to troll Nebraska any chance you get.

The Cornhuskers have had a rough go of it in 2020, facing one of the toughest conference slates the Big Ten could offer amid a 2-4 season. Of course, that follows a tumultuous offseason in which coach Scott Frost said the school would look at "other options" if the Big Ten canceled the season — it did not — followed by threats of legal action by parents of Cornhuskers parents. Nebraska players actually did sue the Big Ten over its lack of communication in voting to postpone the season.

At this rate, Frost and Nebraska might be wondering if it wouldn't have been better not to say anything following the decision.
