Dobbs, who clocks in at 6-4, 304 pounds and hails from Belleville, Mich., is the Spartans' highest-ranked recruit thus far in the 2019 class, and their second top-100 commit. His commitment gives the Spartans the 25th-ranked recruiting class in the country and the seventh-best in the Big Ten.

Moreover, Dobbs is only the third five-star recruit to commit to Mark Dantonio, joining defensive ends William Gholston (2010) and Malik McDowell (2014). Those players were ranked 18th and 31st, respectively, making Dobbs the highest-ranked recruit to ever commit to Dantonio.
