It appears that Kyler Murray isn't the only college football quarterback who has another sport to ponder.
Shea Patterson, who recently transferred to Michigan from Mississippi and was granted immediate eligibility, was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 39th (and next-to-last round) round of the 2018 MLB Draft on Wednesday.

Patterson has yet to play baseball in college. According to his biography on the Ole Miss athletics website, he played baseball and basketball in high school, but the university didn't elaborate.

As a 39th-rounder, Patterson's diamond future doesn't appear to be nearly as lucrative as Murray's, but more like Johnny Manziel's when the Padres drafted the then-Texas A&M QB in the 28th round as a shortstop in 2014.
