A top-25 ACC matchup takes place in Chapel Hill on Saturday, and it could get interesting.
Miami and coach Mario Cristobal received bouts of criticism after losing to Georgia Tech in Week 6. The Canes were ahead 20-17 with only 30 seconds left, and rather than taking a knee, they decided to run the ball. It was fumbled and recovered by the Yellow Jackets, who scored the winning touchdown on the next play.
Not only did it cost Miami the game, but also a 5-0 start to the season and potentially a conference championship.
With three undefeated teams left in the ACC, including North Carolina, that fumble has all but cost the Canes a title. A loss to the Tar Heels would officially put them out of the race.
North Carolina, though, is facing its first ranked opponent of the season. They've been solid but aren't indestructible, barely beating Appalachian State in double overtime. Still, the Tar Heels are coming off a dominating defeat of then 4-1 Syracuse.
Both teams have found success because of their top-10 offenses, but North Carolina could be even better and more dangerous with receiver Tez Walker back. He played his first game of the season last week, recording 43 yards, but with only 50 hours of practice. He'll have a full week under his belt before facing Miami.
