The Mad Hatter is making his return to college football.
Former LSU coach Les Miles has been announced as Kansas' football coach, the university announced on Sunday. Ross Dellenger initially reported Miles and Kansas had finalized a deal.

It was reported earlier this week that Kansas and Miles were finalizing a deal for the 65-year-old coach to become the Jayhawks' next coach. He has not coached since Week 4 of the 2016 season, days after LSU lost to rival Auburn.
That said, Miles will be one of the more qualified Kansas coaches in recent memory, coming in with a career 141-55 record. He also won a national championship at LSU in 2007 and nearly won another in 2011. The Jayhawks, conversely, have gone 18-88 since former coach Mark Mangino left the university in 2009, including a 6-40 stint over four years by David Beaty.
