The National Football Foundation released the 2021 College Football Hall of Fame ballot on Tuesday, and there are 20 players on the ballot for the first time.

Miami quarterback Ken Dorsey, Georgia cornerback Champ Bailey and Kansas State running back Darren Sproles are among those first-time players on that list.  The NFF announcement for the 2021 class will be made in early 2021. Details will be announced later this year. That class will be inducted on Dec. 7, 2021, in New York. The new first-timers make for some interesting candidates.

Dorsey led Miami to the national championship in 2001 and an appearance in the 2002 BCS championship game. He finished third in the Heisman Trophy voting in 2001 and fifth in 2002. Dorsey had 9,565 yards and 86 TDs at Miami.

Bailey was a consensus All-American cornerback at Georgia in 1998. He also won the Bronko Nagurski Award. Bailey had eight interceptions, but he also had 744 receiving yards and five TDs as a receiver in 1998. Bailey also is a member of the Pro Football of Fame.

Sproles finished fifth in the Heisman Trophy voting in 2003 as a star running back for the Wildcats. Sproles finished with 4,979 rushing yards and 6,812 all-purpose yards at Kansas State. He was a three-time 1,000-yard rusher.
